Happy Birthday Chanpheng!

Chanpheng's 32nd birthday.

The day before, was enjoyed dinner at Bonefish follower her company's Holiday party at Cool River. She slept in on her birthday.

On her b-day, we got massages and met our friends Josh, Nicolle, and Jenn for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants (Via Baci). Jared and Anders were home sick. :( They treated us to dinner and gave CXB coupons for more massages and a garlic roaster.

Matt, Val and Connor called to send their well wishes. Conner was cute...getting on the phone to say "Happy Birthday Chanpheng" (which you may imagine is not an easy name to say for a two year old).

Chanpheng also received seperate bithday (voice-mail) messages from Avery and Kendall. Avery is getting older....his message indicated that we would not be able to return his call after 2:30 because he would be in a golf tournament.... Kendall's message said "Happy Birthday Antie Touy" (Chanpheng's nickname)

I got Chanpheng the flowers shown above and another (yet unnamed) present that should arrive by FedEx on Monday.

Friends from long ago....

Glenn Ellis and Alex at Dinner - Elway's in Cherry Creek

Glenn is a friend and former co-worker of mine from many years ago ('98?). We worked as HP reps for the MarketStar and MarketSource companies. He moved his wife Heather and first son Caden (sp?) to Abilene, TX to work for Phizer.

I went to visit his family in Texas a few years later after his second son Connor was born. We talked on and off a few times over the years...but not for the last 4-5 years I think. Since then, Cortney and Corbin (3rd and 4th kids were born).

Yesterday, I received a Text from Glenn. He would be in town the next day and wondered if we could meet for dinner. It was great to see him again and see photos of the family. (I'll forgive the fact that he showed them to us on his APPLE computer........). Glenn is now working for Medtronic in the spinal surgery division.

Best wishes to Glenn, Heather and family. I hope it is not as long until we talk again.
