Weekly Newsletter from Colton's Toddler class

Happy Friday everyone.  This week in Todds 1 has been exciting.  We have been working on some new things.
>
> We started the week with some magnetic fun.  Some of our students experimented with wand magnets, discovering what a magnet will stick to.Several kiddos were very creative in their discoveries.  We had magnets sticking to the screws in cabinets, while others found the metallic rings around the room.  A couple even found that they stick to Mason jar rings.  Miss Amy then took some magnets out to our sandbox to see what could be found with magnets there. What a fun treasure hunt!
>
> As the week progressed, we talked about Fall and the changes we saw and felt. Outside, as the wind blew, some fall leaves were swirling around our heads.  The children were catching and crunching the leaves under their feet.  We also talked about how it is cold in the morning when they come to school, but by the time we go out in the morning, it is warm enough that we don't need our coats.
>
> To finish out our week, we had a video chat via FaceTime with our friend Aleksander who is across the ocean on vacation.  The children all seemed to be excited to see his face on the computer screen.  We said "Hi" and Aleksander watched his classroom full of friends.  He asked for "March"  which is our word for the song "We are the Dinosaurs", so we played it and marched together, a thousand miles apart.  What a great experience for our little ones.
